The restrictions held by the country-wide lockdown posed certain challenges for MIC 2020, which were overcome by sharing a conversation with ‘Talk Masters’ featuring Asif Ahmed Tonmoy, Market Systems Analyst, ACDI/VOCA; Mourin Mostafiz, Graduate Trainee, Robi Axiata Limited; and Samin Ahsan, Regional Business Development Officer, BAT Bangladesh. The ‘Talk Masters’ furnished important insights on the subject of becoming the most accomplished speaker and the path leading to it.
The first round of MIC 2020 required participants to create a short video clip concerning the COVID-19 pandemic. In the next round, the qualifiers had to conclude a storyline and upload the video clip online. The third and final round of the Intra-BUP Public Speaking Competition became the highlight as finalists from different universities showcased their unparalleled expertise in Extempore Speech live online.
Nafis Kazi became the champion with Mirza Josfique Ahmed as the runner up through a rigorous process of evaluating the performances by some of the most qualified and refined judges including;

  • Khairul Bashar, Head of Communications, Grameenphone Ltd.
  • Sabin Rahman, Vice President, Robi Axiata Ltd.

The journey of MIC- Make It Count 2020 has been very unique given the fact that we had a completely new platform to explore from our screens.
