Despite the outbreak of COVID-19, BUP Career Club did not step back from organizing its flagship event BUP Career and Education Fest 2020 presented by Yellow. BUP Career Club served prospective graduates from all 16 departments of the university with an online platform to exhibit their potential and exceed the rest. The fest as always was a three-day event.
On 17th October 2020, the opening ceremony of BUP Career And Education Fest 2020 was held at BUP premises maintaining proper social distancing, with the presence of the honorable Vice-Chancellor of BUP; Major General Ataul Hakim Sarwar Hasan, Chairman of the Department of Business Administration General, Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Yousuf, Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies, our sponsors and special guests along with all the club members. The ceremony began with the distribution of mementos to our VC and special guests followed by the inauguration of the official website of ‘BUP Career and Education Fest 2020’ by our Honorable Vice-Chancellor.
On 21st October 2020, for the first time, the CV submission procedure was conducted via our event website that included 3D booths of each company. 25 companies participated in this year’s fest including Yellow, Bkash, Banglalink, and Grameenphone. The day ended with an interactive live session by Shabab Ishmam, Supply planner at IKEA Group.
On 22nd October 2020, the fest ended with the insightful online webinars conducted by industry leaders Rashed Noman, Country Director – Augmedix; Kamrul Hasan, Deputy Commissioner (DC); Md Sohan Haidear, Founder & CEO – Smartifier Academy; and Ghulam Sumdany Don, Chief Inspirational Officer – Don Sumdany Facilitation.
