BUP Career and Education Fest 2016, presented by Chakri.com was held on the 24th, 25th and 29th of October, 2016 as a three day event . On the first day of the event, the fest was inaugurated by the honourable former Vice Chancellor of BUP, Major General Md. Salahuddin Miaji. Following the inauguration, 17 renowned organizations took part in the event and set up booths where students could get acquainted with the job openings and drop their resumes for the respective positions. To end the day, a workshop was conducted by the special guest, Naveed Mahbub, a veteran corporate turned stand up comedian and a famous columnist.
On the second day, the focus was on showcasing higher education opportunities for the students abroad. A number of renowned organizations discussed the foreign education opportunities and the ways to avail them. Later on that day, a very insightful corporate grooming session was conducted by Ahteram Uddin, the then Chief Operating Officer of Prothom Alo. On the concluding day, a total of 320 candidates were selected for in-campus interview for job openings on the basis of the dropped CVs from the first day and such an event was the very first to take place. The entire event was an absolute success and the participating students got the opportunity to be more relevant with the job openings, details and other components that would kick-start their journey to successful careers.
