About the Organisation
Trust Bank PLC is one of Bangladesh's leading private commercial banks, with a distinctive institutional background. It was founded in 1999 in Dhaka and is backed by the Army Welfare Trust of the Bangladesh Army. Sponsored by the Army Welfare Trust (AWT), it is the first of its kind in the country, a bank established under an army welfare trust structure, which gives it both a strong institutional foundation and a mission tied to national economic contribution.
The bank is headquartered at Shadhinota Tower, Bir Srestha Shahid Jahangir Gate, Dhaka Cantonment, Dhaka. Reflecting its ownership structure, the Chief of Army Staff of the Bangladesh Army serves as its chairman. Over more than two decades of operation, Trust Bank has achieved public confidence as a sound and stable bank with a broad national footprint. It operates a network of around 119 branches, sub-branches, and over 280 ATM booths across Bangladesh, and the group also includes subsidiaries such as Trust Bank Securities Limited, Trust Bank Investment Limited, and Trust Axiata Digital Limited.
Business Operations
Trust Bank operates as a full-service commercial bank serving individuals, enterprises, and defence personnel. It offers a wide range of corporate, retail, SME, and Islamic banking products and has been operating in Bangladesh since 1999. Its core offerings span consumer banking, corporate banking, investment banking, Islamic banking, treasury management, internet banking, ATM services, and locker services.
The bank has a long track record of technological progress that has shaped its customer experience. It introduced an automated branch banking system in 2001 and rolled out ATM services for customers in 2005. In January 2007, Trust Bank launched online banking services including Any Branch Banking, ATM Banking, Phone Banking, SMS Banking, and Internet Banking, allowing customers to deposit or withdraw money from any branch nationwide without needing multiple accounts. On the cards side, the bank has introduced Visa credit cards that can be used at shops and restaurants both within Bangladesh and internationally.
Underpinning all of this is a strong customer-centric philosophy. Trust Bank positions itself as a customer-oriented financial institution that places the customer at the centre of its operations and continually upgrades its technology to manage growth and meet rising customer expectations.
Affiliation with BUP Career Club
Trust Bank has one of the longest-running and most consistent relationships of any corporate partner with the BUP Career Club, having backed the club's flagship event across multiple editions.
The partnership traces back several years: Trust Bank was the title sponsor of "BUP Career and Education Fest 2022," with the seventh edition of the club's annual industry outreach and placement programme held as "Career and Education Fest 2022, Powered by Trust Bank Limited," beginning on 1 November at Bangladesh University of Professionals. That event allowed students to have their CVs reviewed and set up walk-in interviews with some of the country's top companies across a variety of fields.
The relationship has continued into the latest edition. BUP Career Club is hosting the ninth edition of its flagship event, City Bank Presents BUP Career & Education Fest 2026, powered by Trust Bank PLC and co-powered by Bangladesh Machine Tools Factory (BMTF), from 17 to 21 May 2026 at Bangladesh University of Professionals. Here, Trust Bank takes the "powered by" co-sponsor billing, sustaining its association with the event it once headlined.
This recurring partnership reflects a natural fit between the two organisations. The BUP Career Club works to create a bridge between the corporate world and the university, helping fresh graduates reach their desired professions while equipping students with the skills to get ahead of the competition. For Trust Bank, supporting the club's signature recruitment and education festival keeps the bank visible to graduates entering the finance and corporate sectors and reinforces its long-standing commitment to nurturing emerging talent in Bangladesh.
