About the Organization
LEADS Corporation Limited is one of Bangladesh's pioneering and most established information-technology companies, with a particularly strong position in software for the financial sector. LEADS Corporation Limited has been a foremost information technology service provider since 1992, when it became the exclusive distributor for Bangladesh of the global giant NCR Corporation and took over the support service of NCR's then Bangladeshi customers, and it has since become the leading provider of application software for the country's financial sector. Its beginnings were modest; in 1992, when NCR Corporation ceased direct operations in Bangladesh and handed exclusive distributorship and support to the small IT firm Leads Corporation, the company had just a 12-member team, and today it is at the forefront of the country's IT industry and employs around 300 people.
Over more than three decades it has grown into a full technology and solutions provider with its own headquarters and a strong record of recognition. LEADS is a Bangladeshi IT company with over 30 years of experience, now operating from its own LEADS Tower in Mirpur, Dhaka, and serving domestic and international clients across financial institutions, enterprises, and government. Its leadership and achievements are well recognised in the sector; it secured the Best ICT Solution Provider (Local Market Focus) Award at The Daily Star ICT Awards 2017, won multiple BASIS National ICT Awards, and its chairman, Shaikh Abdul Aziz, received the "ICT Pioneer Award" at the Daily Star ICT Awards 2020 for his contribution to establishing the country's technology sector. The company also operates subsidiaries including LeadSoft Bangladesh Limited and LEADS Training & Consulting Limited.
Business Operations
LEADS designs, develops, implements, and maintains business application software for both domestic and overseas markets, with a core focus on the financial industry. It provides its Core Banking Solution, BankUltimus, for the banking industry in both local and global markets, and serves non-banking financial companies, agent banking, the capital market, broker houses, life insurance, and enterprise resource planning (ERP). Its footprint in the financial sector is extensive; per its company profile, its financial-industry software has been used by 12 banks, 13 NBFIs, 39 merchant banks, 62 capital-market broker houses, and three insurance companies, with solutions spanning core banking, agent banking, portfolio management, broker back-office management, and insurance systems.
The company's capabilities extend well beyond banking software into full-lifecycle development, infrastructure, and emerging technologies. Alongside software, LEADS provides system solutions such as enterprise data networks, data centres, DR sites, plastic-card personalisation, and POS systems, and has delivered software for numerous government bodies including the Comptroller and Auditor General's office, the Investment Corporation of Bangladesh, the Bangladesh Air Force and Navy, Dhaka WASA, and the NBR. In recent years it has also moved into disruptive technologies; the company has forayed into blockchain, the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence, including a blockchain-based humanitarian aid-distribution solution recognised at the BASIS National ICT Awards.
